A long list of affordable products I ride for.

The question I always ask when offering product recommendations is, “What’s your budget, or the most you want to spend on a single product?” It’s important to me that I understand where my clients value spend is with skincare; even if someone can spend $150 on a product, they may not want to. And by no means is this a zero sum game. The mantra my clients always hear is, the best routines are easy to keep. And ‘easy’ has multiple meanings here – I want to help people create a regimen they enjoy doing, and don’t dread restocking.

My love for a high-low skincare moment is well documented here on Esthetically. Even with access to countless “professional” lines, there are plenty of affordable products earning their keep on my vanity … I think I was actually drenching myself in this $28 serum when the idea for this post struck.

So, take a quick bathroom break and refill your beverage (add an ‘s’ to that if you’re a beverage goblin like me). Here are 30 products under $30 I’ll vouch for and like enough to recommend. We can still ball on a budget!

CLEANSERS
Prequel Pre-Gleanse Cleansing Oil – you already know and love her, she’s an acne-safe dream for removing makeup.

Prequel Gleanser Non-Drying Glycerin Cleanser – what this cleanser lacks in “oh, that smells delicious,” it makes up for in efficiently cleansing without stripping the barrier.

Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam – something about a foamy cleanser is just so rewarding.

La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser – I’m a big proponent of keeping a good gentle cleanser in the shower. This is what’s in mine.

SERUMS
Naturium Multi-Peptide Advanced Serum – Mama loves a peptide and explained why here.

Naturium Niacinamide 12% + Zin 2% Serum – wrote about her here, she’s a keeper if you’re wanting to treat uneven tone.

Prequel Multi-Quench Plumping Hydration Serum – a frequent flyer any time I’m making a recommendation. If they come out with an appropriately-sized bottle for the body, it’s game over.

Prequel Lucent-C Brightening Vitamin C Serum – L-ascorbic acid in dark, opaque packaging? Immediately yes.

Prequel Redness Reform – an affordable way to minimize pesky redness.

Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule – rosacea means my skin looks pissed 80% of the time and this (along with others) helps calm things down.

The Ordinary Mandelic 10% + HA – we’ve already covered why basically everyone can benefit from a mandelic, and this is a good, affordable place to start.

MOISTURIZERS
Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer – honestly the whole Multi-Peptide line from Naturium just gets it.

Prequel Half & Half Fluid Moisturizer – peptide glazing milk who? Loving this for my oily skin under makeup.

Prequel Urea Advanced Relief Moisturizing Milk – I’m always suspicious of a “face + body” product but this does feel light enough for my face, and heavy enough for my body??

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 – it’s so thick but there’s a reason it goes on every trip with me. Also my favorite to use on clients post eyebrow wax to help calm the red.

La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer – really the Toleriane Double Repair line at LRP is another that just gets it.

SPF
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua Fresh – I order these in bulk and I think that’s all you need to know.

Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum – sunscreen that makes you glow? Say less.

Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen – she’s an icon, she is the moment (for multiple years in a row).

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel – if it’s good enough for EV’s medicine cabinet, it’s good enough for me.

BODY
Soft Services Buffing Bar – where are my KP people at? This helps reduce the “chicken skin” look that the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms has going on.

La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm AM+PM Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream – you know Louis Litt’s love for mudding in ‘Suits’? I would like to mud in this.

LIPS
Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Mask – dare I say I like it better than its more-famous relative? This formula feels less thick but just as hydrating and long-lasting.

Prequel Lip Visor Sunscreen – OK, I have to admit that I haven’t actually tried this *yet* because I have enough lip products to get me through the next general election. But there’s enough Prequel on here already, I just know this is good.

EXTRAS
Prequel Multi-Acid Milk Peel – an easy breezy, at-home baby peel treatment.

Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum – eyes are the easiest for me to forget and neglect, which means I’m always choosing the budget option.

Good Molecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel – another that I haven’t personally used (yet) but I watched my sister apply it and saw an instant difference.

Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray – my hypochlorous acid OG.

Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Poremizing Quick Clay Stick Mask – I like to multi-mask whenever I’m doing a face mask and this is what I’ll apply to my T-zone.

Mediheal Phyto-Enzyme Peeling Pad – just the right amount of exfoliation for me post PM cleansing.
